Great Song by The Matthew Show

"A Brighter Place in the Sun" by The Matthew Show
The video's not the best quality so you can check here for an mp3 stream. Also, the video's two songs and I selfishly didn't bother to listen to the second, I just went back and did "A Brighter Place in the Sun" again.

I especially like the chorus:

You are not the only one
Standing on your own
And someday far away you may find
It’s not that hard
To find a brighter place in the sun

So far to the only place we see
Where things are want, and never need, and meant to be
Shadowed by the graveyard waltz of fear
And if you run far enough, it won’t come near

And I think that's partially due to the middle-of-autumn clarity of the sunlight. I was out walking today around 3:30 and the sun just shone briallantly through the spray of Washington Square Park's fountain. Without summer's humidity or winter's meekness, the sun cut through the blue sky and lit everything up. I've had a couple of rough days this past month too; the song and the sun helped clear that away.

I got a new phone (HTC Incredible) a few weeks ago and downloaded an awesome app called Mixest, that's how I found this song. It plays indie music all day with no commercials, it's like magic. I have a few other songs to share so let me know if you like this one and I'll put them up.
